Archives of the Greek Orthodox Patriarchate of Antioch and All the East . v. V. (Archdiocese of Antioch, Mersin, Dyar Bakr, and Mosul)

These archives contain papers that constitute part of the history of the city of Damascus and its congregation. They include correspondence between the patriarchs and the bishops of Antioch, Mersin, Dyar Bakr, and Mosul and the congregation and the clergy concerning  inheritance, marriage, divorce, preaching, teaching, infringements, military service, debts,  appointments, compensations, change of sect, the clergy , taxes, sectarian disputes, marital  and other problems, deaths, births, and awqaf.
These archives of Antioch, Mersin, Dyar Bakr, and Mosul, are housed in the Patriarchate of Damascus. The cataloging includes form and kind of paper, cover, size, calligraphy and kind of ink, and a summary of each document. There are indexes of sources, names of the clerical writers and the subjects. The introduction is by dr. Iskandar Luqa.
